Discovery and extraction
Exploration of the local ecosystem from our Base Camp. Ethical, hands-on harvesting of raw clay in our secret wild zone, in full respect of land and environmental regulations.
Material processing
Learning the techniques of purifying and preparing the freshly gathered clay to make it malleable and ready for shaping.
Creation and shaping
Artisanal shaping using traditional methods: coil building, slab building, and wheel-throwing (time permitting). Application of decorative techniques like burnishing, terra sigillata, and slips.
Transformation by fire
On the second day, after drying and glaze application, we proceed to firing. Experience the magic of the kiln with Raku, pit, or barrel firing techniques, revealing the unique beauty of wild earthenware.
The base camp

To preserve the privacy of our artisanal workspace while offering a premium welcome, we establish seasonal 'Base Camps' in partnership with local land stewards. These hubs serve as the bridge between the urban world and the raw earth.
